Following some simple rules can avoid these problems:
- Don’t rush while you eat your food. Eat your food gradually. Try placing your fork down between chewing and make sure you chew well.
- Don’t overindulge. Decrease the size of your servings at mealtimes, or try consuming four to five smaller meals rather than three bigger ones.
- Eat frequently and try not to miss any meals.
- Stop eating a large meal prior to bedtime. Eat your final meal at least three hours before going to bed.
- Make certain you have lots to drink. Attempt to have at least one liter of water per day.
