CPR and AED Training

Certification classes with Lethbridge First Aid cover cardiovascular emergencies and first aid injuries, the most common being cardiac arrests and bleeding. Different age groups correspond to each level of the CPR training program, but all levels include automated external defibrillation (AED) training. AEDs are machines that are attached to the chest and apply shock needed to restart the heart.

CPR training has three levels (A, C, and HCP), lasting four, five, and six hours long respectively.

Private instructors are also available at Lethbridge First Aid for home training. You can also book them for special events like outings and conferences. Just send an e-mail or give a call to inquire about their hourly rates. All instructors at Lethbridge First Aid are certified by St Mark James.

Taking temperature

Digital thermometers are not a household object, especially since fevers are very common year round. Aural (ear) thermometers take temperature in as quick as 15 seconds. These are ideal for children and infants. Other digital thermometers are long and slender, and can be used orally, rectally, or in the axillary area (armpit). Remember that the normal temperature of the adult human body is 37 degrees Celsius or 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Take note that temperature is highest between 4 and 6 PM and lowest at around 6 AM.
