Training programs

Hamilton First Aid has the most popular classes on CPR and first aid offered in Hamilton. CPR courses are available in three levels: “A”, “C”, and “HCP”. All levels include first aid and automated external defibrillation (AED) training. AEDs are machines that are attached to the chest and apply needed shock to restart the heart.

Certification and renewal

Certificates for first aid and CPR training are awarded to trainees who are able to complete their enrolled course. The certificate is valid for three years throughout Canada and can be renewed, if current and prerequisites are met,  through refresher / re-certification programs held twice weekly at Hamilton First Aid.
